Sean Dyche is confident James Garner has the potential to be a key player in his Everton side, but says the youngster still has plenty to learn about the English top-flight.

The 22-year-old has returned to the matchday squad in recent weeks after recovering from a back injury.

With a trip to Chelsea on the horizon this weekend, followed by a 16-day break ffrom domestic action, Dyche kept his cards close to his chest whether the midfielder could feature this Saturday.

"He is a new player to it. From what I saw, and I did see him quite a bit at Forest, he’s got a good engine and running strength, he can strike a very good ball and he is calm in possession and he will cover the yards," the Everton manager was quoted in the Liverpool Echo.

"Getting to that true sharpness is the next step but his knowledge of the Premier League is limited just by the fact he has played a lot in the Championship. The Premier League is different.

"But I saw a lot of him at Forest and I think he is a very good player and I think that now that he is fit again and hopefully stays fit he will continue to sharpen through the training we put on and the day-to-day work that we do.”

Keeping with the local paper, the Echo believes Yerry Mina will leave the Club this summer.

The Columbian's deal expires at the end of June and the Merseyside outlet claims that the Blues are unlikely to offer the defender an extension.
