Mason Holgate could be available for selection for this weekend's trip to face Tottenham Hotspur.

The English defender has been injured since the end of August, but is hopeful to return to the squad for Saturday's league encounter.

In an interview originally with Everton Live ahead of Sunday's clash with Manchester Unitedthe Liverpool Echo quotes the centre back: "I'm good. I trained yesterday (Saturday), obviously it was a lighter session with it being the day before a game, so hopefully I'll get another week of training in and I should be available to in the squad next week, hopefully.

"The timing of [the injury] wasn't ideal but you could always say that whenever you get injured. It's part of football, you just have to get on with it and hopefully I can come back stronger and better."

In transfer news, the Club are expected to sign Cork City goalkeeper David Harrington, according to a report from the Irish Independent.

The move is expected to be completed in January for the 22-year-old, who is eligible to represent Wales at international level.
