Martina Piemonte

Italy international striker Martina Piemonte completed a move to Everton from AC Milan in July 2023. The forward agreed a two-year contract with the Blues until the end of June 2025.

Piemonte was the Toffees’ first signing of the summer after spending two successful years with the Milan giants. She enjoyed her best goalscoring season to date in 2022/23, netting 14 times and registering four assists in just 24 appearances.

Serie A’s joint-third highest scorer during the 2022/23 campaign, Piemonte registered 13 goals in 21 league starts, maintaining an impressive ratio of scoring more than 0.6 goals per game in her two seasons with Milan.

She also displayed creativity throughout her last year before making the move to Merseyside. Only two Milan players recorded more Serie A assists than Piemonte, who registered 17 goal contributions across the season – eight more than the club’s next most potent.

Ahead of her Everton move, Piemonte had already built an impressive CV, also playing for Sevilla, Roma, Real Betis, and Fiorentina.

Piemonte began her professional career aged just 14, signing for Riviera di Romagna in 2012. This was followed by a move to USD San Zaccaria in 2017 after Piemonte’s involvement for Italy in the FIFA Under-17s’ Women’s World Cup.

After a move to ASDCF Verona in 2016, she left her home country to join Sevilla in 2017. Piemonte transferred to Roma the following season, where, aged just 20, she netted three Serie A goals in 12 starts for Le Giallorossi.

Another venture to Seville, Spain came the season after for the young striker. This time, however, Piemonte signed for Real Betis, where she again struck three times across the campaign.

She transferred to Fiorentina for the 2020/21 season, before joining AC Milan in 2021 – her final club before signing for the Blues.

Contracted until: June 2025
