Republic of Ireland international Heather Payne joined Everton in August 2023 on a two-year deal.

A versatile player, she can operate in a range of positions down the right-hand side, while also being comfortable on the left.

The 23-year-old signed for the Blues after completing her studies in the United States, where she had a four-year stint at college side Florida State Seminoles.

Born in Ballinasloe, Ireland, Payne spent two years at Irish side Peamount United before making the move to England in 2018 to sign for Bristol City.

Payne has impressed for her country, winning Ireland’s Young Women’s Player of the Year in 2023. She also made two appearances for the national side in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in the same year.
