Masters Of Movement: Richarlison

Three Everton stars have teamed up with Official Partner Sure at the Club’s USM Finch Farm training ground to share secrets about how they’ve become ‘Masters of Movement’ on the pitch.

Blues attacking trio Bernard, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison offered up tips and insight on their movement off the ball to Allan Russell, elite attacking coach for Sure, who looked to explore what made the Everton players experts in differing area of their games.

The three Toffees forwards have been instrumental in the Club’s recent wins over Chelsea, West Ham United and Arsenal, with intelligent movement a key weapon in each player's armoury.

Brazilians Richarlison and Bernard, along with England Under-21 striker Calvert-Lewin, participated in training drills, while explaining to Russell, England’s attacking coach, what goes through their minds when looking to create space in live match situations.

The three-part video series features Russell speaking to each player individually to find out what makes them proficient in this art.

Sure’s ‘Masters of Movement’ follows on from previous successful collaborations with Everton, including the ‘Make Your Move’ and ‘Pressure Series’ campaigns.

Russell highlights Bernard’s running between the lines and ability to dart in the opposite direction to the ball, while the coach commends 22-year-old Calvert-Lewin on his positioning in the box prior to reacting to teammates’ crosses.

Russell also identifies Richarlison's knack of arriving late in the box to cause problems for opposition defences.

The former Watford man is first up in the series, his movement having helped him net 12 Premier League goals for Everton this season.
