Blues Quartet Deliver Bikes To Help School

Andre Gomes and Jonjoe Kenny joined Ladies duo Simone Magill and Chloe Kelly in helping Club partners USM deliver bikes to Millstead Primary School.

Millstead, a school in Everton for children with special educational needs, had its specialist equipment vandalised and was raising money to help repair the damage.

Club partner USM stepped in to provide bikes to the school and the Blues quartet went along to deliver the donation.

Gomes, Kenny, Magill and Kelly joined in with a range of activities with the children before taking a tour of the facilities on offer.

“It was fantastic to go and meet the youngsters at their school,” said Portugal midfielder Gomes.

“It was very sad to hear what had happened to their equipment, so we wanted to come and visit them and hopefully put some smiles on faces. They have some really good facilities here.

The school visit was part of the USM ‘Unlock the Potential’ campaign – an initiative that looks to engage, inspire and reward deserving Evertonians. The campaign will continue for the rest of the season so keep a look out for how you can get involved.

Ladies striker Magill added: “We had a great time with the children. It is always so rewarding to come out and spend time within the community, especially when you can make a difference to people’s lives.

“Hopefully these kids will enjoy their new equipment for many years to come. It was a pleasure to come and see them and see how much they enjoyed having us.”
