The Liverpool Echo reports on Everton’s boardroom restructure, which was announced on Tuesday night.
The changes will see Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale become the Club’s new Chief Executive, replacing Robert Elstone, who is moving to Super League. Dr Keith Harris, meanwhile, will become the Club’s Deputy Chairman and Alexander Ryazantsev will take up the role of Chief Finance and Commercial Officer.
The Echo carries quotes from Professor Barrett-Baxendale – who has been promoted from her position as Deputy CEO and will begin her new role on 1 June – describing the Club as “footballing royalty”. Professor Barrett-Baxendale adds she is “completely committed to driving the Club forward and making the most of the opportunities that we have”.
The Daily Mail, meanwhile, suggests that the Blues are interested in signing Schalke 04 forward Donis Avdijaj.
Newcastle United and Huddersfield Town are also eyeing the 21-year-old Kosovo international, the paper reports.
