Blues Legend Ferguson Soars Over Goodison Turf For EitC

Toffees legend Duncan Ferguson took on the Goodison zip slide on Saturday, soaring over the hallowed turf at The Grand Old Lady to raise money for Everton in the Community – the Club’s official charity.

Duncan was joined by Everton Ladies players Taylor Hinds, Faye Bryson, Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, Simone Magill, Kirstie Levell, Danielle Turner and Jodie Brett, as well as Ladies manager Andy Spence and thrill-seeking Evertonians in taking on the zip from the Top Balcony in the Main Stand to the Paddock in the Lower Bullens Stand.

Giving Toffees the opportunity to enjoy a completely different view of their beloved Goodison Park, the zip slide is an unforgettable way to raise money to support and improve the lives of those less fortunate living within our communities.

Speaking after his zip slide, Ferguson said: “It's an incredible experience flying across that pitch and it’s even better when you know you are doing it for a good cause. It is incredibly important that we support our communities and to see all these fans here today taking part and helping to support the work of Everton in the Community is just fantastic.”

This is the first time the Goodison zip slide experience has taken place since 2013, when Ferguson first joined Evertonians in flying across the pitch.

Duncan and the Everton Ladies are calling on those who can to show their support by contributing towards the cause. All funds raised will support the ground-breaking work of EitC.
