The Application Process
In order to apply for any vacancies with Everton Football Club, you first need to create an account.
To do this, navigate to the ‘Vacancies’ page, select ‘Login’ and then ‘Create Account’.
Please remember that your password needs to be a combination of letters and numbers!
Once your account is created, you can log back in at any time to update your CV, or check the status of any applications you have made.
In order to apply for one of our current vacancies, please follow the step-by-step process.
1. You will need to have the following things ready: Your personal details, your CV and, if applicable, your application form (which can be downloaded through the link on the job advert)
2. Click on ‘Search Vacancies’ to see a list of all of our current vacancies
3. You can view all of our current opportunities here. If no jobs are listed, unfortunately we’re not currently recruiting at this time but you can still register your CV on our database
4. To view the role information in more detail, please click ‘more’ on the vacancy itself
5. For some roles, the job advert may ask you to complete an application form. You need to download this form, and save it to your computer. Not all roles will ask for an application form.
6. Once you have completed the application form, and saved it to your computer, click on ‘Apply Now’
7. You will be asked to log in to the system. If you have created an account previously, please select ‘Log-in’ from the links on the screen.
8. You will be guided through a number of online questions on the screen. Please answer the questions and submit your CV and application form where requested to do so.
9. Once you have completed all the questions, a screen will notify you that your application has been successfully submitted.
10. You will also receive an automatic email to notify you that your application has been received.
Please note, we no longer accept applications by post.
I have submitted my application – what happens next?
The shortlisting process for interview begins once the role has closed.
We receive a high number of applications for all of our vacancies and it is not always possible to notify you quickly on the status of your application.
You will be contacted by a member of the HR team to notify you whether you application has been successful or not. This may take up to 3 or 4 weeks after the closing date.
You can also check on the status of your application by logging into the system and selecting ‘My Applications’.
I had problems completing the application form online – what should I do?
If you encountered problems whilst trying to complete your online application form, or you need assistance in any way, please let the HR team know by sending us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can contact us on 0870 442 1878.
Criminal Records & Disqualification
With some exceptions having a criminal record will not necessarily bar an individual from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of the offence.
All applicants will be required to declare any criminal record in the relevant section of the application process as follows:
• If the position is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders legislation, candidates must declare only ‘unspent’ convictions.
• If the post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders legislation, candidates must declare all convictions, cautions, reprimands, or final warnings on their criminal record, both spent and unspent. Successful candidates will also be asked to consent to an Enhanced Disclosed via the Criminal Records Bureau.
